We can remove troublesome skin lesions including skin tags and warts, but not moles. ​

 

Removal of your skin lesion is carried out under local anaesthetic using either a sterile scalpel or cutting diathermy. No stitches are required. The whole procedure takes about 20 minutes.

 

More than one skin lesion can be removed in your appointment, the number removed is dependent on the size, site and type of skin lesion and the maximum safe amount of local anaesthetic that can be given.

 

Afterwards, you would need to avoid any strenuous exercise for 24 hours. You will be provided with a leaflet at the time of your surgery with more detail on aftercare.

 

You may not be suitable for removal at our clinic if you are diabetic, have a suppressed immune system or take blood thinning medications apart from aspirin, so if you are not sure, please check your suitability with us prior to booking. ​

 

Skin lesion removal is priced at £199. This is made up an £89 consultation, a £110 surgery fee, and includes a follow up appointment if required and six weeks of all aftercare.

 

If Dr Mo is not able to safely remove your particular skin lesion, then the fee will be an £89 appointment, and Dr Mo will be able to refer you to a private specialist.
