Service Description

Hayfever is an allergic reaction response by your immune system, to things such as pollen. A Hayfever Injection involves a single injection in the upper leg or buttock and will start to work after a few days. It is made up of a mild steroid, which clears hayfever symptoms by an average of 6 - 12 weeks by reducing your immune system's allergic response to pollens. However not everyone can have it. It will not be suitable for you if you are under 18 years old, if you are pregnant/breastfeeding or planning to become pregnant within the next 6 months, or if you have any of the following conditions: a current infection that you are on antibiotics for, glaucoma or a family history of glaucoma, recent or upcoming surgery, diabetes, epilepsy, a recent heart attack, ocular herpes simplex, if you have a suppressed immune system or have a condition where a suppressed immune system may be undesirable e.g. tuberculosis or cancer chemotherapy. This injection can be given four weeks after or twelve weeks before a live vaccine. If you would like to check whether this would be suitable for you, or if you would like to book in for your injection, please contact us.
